About Blue Sky Counselling and Psychotherapy

Each person is engaged in a unique journey through life, in search of his or her own meaning and purpose.  Life consists of numerous challenges some of which leave people feeling distressed and unable to cope.

At Blue Sky Counselling and Psychotherapy, you can expect a respectful and confidential response to whatever issues are concerning you. Attending counselling and psychotherapy can help to make sense of experiences, feelings, thoughts, or behaviours that are unique to you as an individual.

Through the process of therapy you gain a better understanding of yourself.

The relationship with your therapist offers a facilitative and confidential environment, where you can explore your internal struggles.  This process can enable you to discover inner resources and build the strength to make meaningful choices and live a more satisfying life.

Some Presenting Problems

My areas of work include: relationship difficulties, stress & anxiety, bullying, self-esteem, depression, suicidal ideation, paranoia, sexuality, sexual trauma, loss & bereavement, serious illness and many others.

What to Expect.

Blue Sky appreciates that taking the first step and picking up the phone to call the service can be very difficult. It is my goal to ensure that I make this experience a positive one for you. When you call Blue Sky, I will take your details and schedule an initial assessment for a date and time that best suits your availability.

Your initial assessment usually lasts between 30-45 minutes. This is not a counselling session but rather an opportunity to explore if counselling is the correct option for you at this time in your life. To ask any questions you may have on the process and explore some of the reasons you wish to commence counselling. If after this first meeting you decide not to go ahead with counselling this is not a problem, there is no commitment to attend counselling at this stage in the process.

If you make the decision to continue, a time schedule will then be arranged to satisfy your needs.
